Radar was quickly noticed by the judges at the shows, and he finished his GCH as a two year old at one show. I continued to show him due to my doubts that ADGA would be error-proof with recording show wins, and he earned five more GCH wins along with becoming a finished Champion with AGS as well. At one show under a judge I truly admire and love showing under (he awarded Watchman a leg back when I was showing him), in the class as he began checking all the bucks, he walked up to Radar and made some comments to himself, "Oh my, he is something else!" During the Championship lineup he stated that he had not seen a buck as nice as Radar in the past year he had been judging at shows. He said Radar was definitely one that stood alone from others in the class, which was an honor as the bucks behind Radar were from very well-known herds here on the East Coast. Most often receiving compliments for his excellent front end assembly and correct legs and feet by the judges at shows, Radar has been a huge success as a herd sire at Little Bit Of Dixie with the offspring he has sired for us.
His first daughter won three Reserve Championships, and another daughter (from an extra special linebreeding of father to daughter) earned her Junior Leg at four months of age. I have retained two bucks from him, one out of CAPRINE ACRES BA CHANTEL 2*M (out of GCH CAPRINE ACRES AD CARINA 1*M EEEE92) and one out of GYPSY MOON WP CELEBRATION (dam of CH GYPSY MOON SM MAIKO, owned by Drewem Nigerian Dwarf Goats). The buck from Chantel was shown at four months of age and won GCH Junior Buck at his first show. As a first freshener, his daughter LITTLEBITOFDIXIE R ROSE TATTOO has shown improvements over her dam in rear udder arch, teat size, and rear width. She has become a beautiful doe and I am very much looking forward to her second freshening in November 2023. In general, he adds dairyness and length of body, improves front ends and legs, keeps the rumps pretty, and adds width between the hocks. His babies are very upright, correct, and consistent. Another thing that Radar adds to his babies, which to me is a very important trait, is his personality. Even those that were totally dam raised and not messed with much at all are friendly, love attention, and really do have big and sweet personalities just like Radar.
